NCIS: Los Angeles is an American television series which premiered on CBS on September 22, 2009. The series is set in Los Angeles, California, and continues the stories of members of the Special Projects Office, a secret division of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). The program and its characters were introduced in a two-part episode for the sixth season of the television series NCIS on April 28 and May 5, 2009. On May 20, 2010 CBS confirmed that the series has been renewed for a second season. The second season had 24 episodes. At May 17, 2011, 48 original episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles have been issued.
NCIS: Los Angeles is a drama about high stakes world of undercover surveillance in the Office of Special Projects (OSP), a division of NCIS which is responsible for capturing elusive dangerous criminals who pose a threat to national security. By assuming false identities and using the latest technology, this team of highly trained covert enters, putting their lives on the line in the field to bring down their targets. Special Agent "G" Callen (Chris O'Donnell) is a chameleon who becomes he has to infiltrate the criminal underworld. His partner is Special Agent Sam Hanna (LL Cool J), a former U.S. Navy SEAL has seen action in Afghanistan and Iraq, and a surveillance expert who uses state of the art monitoring equipment to keep in mind those in the field and feed that information crucial. Both Callen and the special report Macy agent Lara Hanna (Louise Lombard), the OSP team leader responsible for directing the operations and decisions of life and death. Assisting the team is Special Agent Kensie Lo (Daniela Ruah), the exceptionally bright daughter of a dead Marine who lives for the adrenaline rush that comes with the undercover work, and psychological operations Getz Nate (Peter Cambor), expert get into anyone's head, profiles of target states and the agents of mind control before, during and after the missions. Armed with the latest high-tech equipment and sent regularly to the life situations of risk, this close-knit team relies on others to do what is necessary to protect national interests.
